CHELSEA are interested in signing promising young midfielder Max Meyer, German club Schalke have confirmed.
The 18-year-old, who featured in the Champions League clash against the Blues last week, has enjoyed a successful start to the season scoring three goals already in the Bundesliga.

Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt claims Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Meyer, but as of yet no official offer has been made.
"There is no official offer from Chelsea," the Schalke chief told Kicker.
